Random interesting stuff
Just feel like posting something random here...
1) Submitting of homework
The following really happened, but I've left out the names, so as to protect the identity of the people concerned.
(Lesson starts, tutor enters)
Tutor: Subject rep, please collect the homework.
(Subject rep collects homework, passes to tutor)
Subject rep: Everyone has handed up.
Student A: Here's my homework.
Student B: Here's mine too!...
Tutor: *stares at subject rep* everyone has handed up, eh?
Subject rep: Sorrie... now everyone has handed up.
(A few days later, lesson starts, tutor enters)
Student C: Sorry, here's my homework.
Tutor: *STARES AT SUBJECT REP* Everyone has handed up???
Hmm yup that's roughly what happened. I've changed some of the lines so that it's easier for me to type =P
2) Inter-disciplinary Study: Mathematics and GP
Let P(n) be the proposition that the sun rises on the nth day.
First, prove that the sun rises on the first day. i.e. P(1) is true.
Next, prove that if the sun rises on one day, it will rise on the next day. i.e. P(k) is true => P(k+1) is true.
Hence, by induction, the sun rises every day.
